Ravi Teja, born January 26, 1968 under the name of Ravi Shankar Raju Bhupatiraju, is an Indian film actor known for his work in Telugu cinema. Known for his comic dialogue, he is widely regarded as one of the most popular and best-paid actors in Telugu cinema, appearing in more than sixty films. He won the Nandi Special Jury Award in 1999 and 2002 for his performances in the films Nee Kosam (1999) and Khadgam (2002) and also won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for his film Neninthe in 2008.

He was born to Raj Gopal Raju and Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Ravi Teja’s father was a pharmacist and his mother was a housewife. He is the eldest of three sons, the others being Bharath (who died on June 24, 2017 in a car accident) and Raghu, who are also actors. Teja spent most of her childhood in northern India because her father moved very often because of his work. He studied in Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai and Bhopal. Teja graduated from N.S.M. Vijayawada Public School. Later, he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Siddhartha Degree College, Vijayawada. In 1988, he went to Chennai to begin his film career.

Ravi Teja began her career as a supporting artist at Karthavyam (1990) and then played small roles in the films Chaitanya (1991), Aaj Ka Goonda Raj (1992), Allari Priyudu (1993), Ninne Pelladata (1996) and Sindhooram (1997), Ravi Teja has also worked as assistant director for several Telugu films.

In 2012, he also ranked 50th among the 100 most famous personalities of Forbes India with an annual income of 15.5 crore (2.2 million USD). In 2013, he was 68th with a profit of 13 crore rupees ($ 1.8 million). In 2015, he was in 74th position with a profit of 12.5 crore rupees ($ 1.7 million).

Ravi Teja has been hired as Lunar brand ambassador – shoes and sandals in two states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  He then approved the Lord & Master liquor brand
