Prasanna Venkatesan, often nicknamed Prasanna anonymously, is an Indian actor in the Tamil film industry. He debuted in Five Star in 2002, produced by Mani Ratnam. In addition to the main roles, he also played supporting roles. His film Achchamundu! Achchamundu !, in which he plays alongside Sneha and American actor John Shea, has been screened in numerous international film festivals, such as Shanghai and Cairo. He was the host of the short-lived Honeymoon Jodigal on Sun TV in 2010. He currently runs Soppana Sundari of Sun Life.
He was born in Tiruchirappalli. His father was employed at BHEL and his mother is a housewife. He graduated from BHEL Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli. He has a younger brother. He was good at mimicry and acting when he was in school and college. He had declared that he had always wanted to become an actor. Tiruchirapalli, an EEA student at the SARANATHAN College of Engineering, responded to a public hearing for Susi Ganesan’s Five Star (2002) actors, although her parents were not satisfied with her decision.
During the shooting of Achchamundu! Achchamundu! He and Sneha fell in love, but he denied having any idea of marrying an actress.
Prasanna married actress Sneha on May 11, 2012. Her son Vihaan was born on August 10, 2015. Prasanna is Latha Narayanan’s cousin.
